Fresh Fall Must Haves...

So as I have been fighting the arrival of Fall weather, I had a hard time allowing myself to be inspired by new fall looks...

But even with the fight I was putting up, these fall items managed to still make it in my wardrobe!!

Head to Toe....

I have been in love with all of the hats around soho so I went out on a hunt for the hats that looked best on me... (as I do have a big head)

For Fashion..
American Apparel Wool Floppy Hat in Black, $40

For Function..
Urban Outfitters Ecote Space Dyed Slouchy Beanie in Black, $24

I love a gorgeous scarf and had to have this fabulous floral scarf during my stop at Urban...all I could see is my dark wash jeans, white tank and this scarf.
Urban Outfitters Kimchi Blue Rustic Floral Eternity Scarf, $29

As always, I can't resist a scoop back dresses when shopping and after purchasing a maxi tank dress at American Apparel, I wanted to find the perfect lace bra to edge up the back..
Urban Outfitters Sparkle & Fade Metallic Bra, $24

American Apparel Long Scoop Back Dress in Black, $50

I am all about tweed this season and could not have found a more perfect tweed jacket than this gorgeous RT Boucle creation..
Rebecca Taylor Sequin Bouclé Jacket, $495

With a new beginning on my horizon after recently making a job change, I got this bracelet to help keep negative energy away from my aura..
Etsy.com Hamsa - Gold Hamsa Hand with Evil Eye Red Irish Waxed Linen Bracelet, $14

As you may notice I am obsessed with colorful pants- and could not part ways with these amazing red pants..
J. CREW Minnie pant in stretch twill, $69.50

I was on a hunt for a BARGAIN on colorful jeans and after seeing these JC Penney Steals in People Style Watch I realized that at $17.99, I could buy all 3!
JC Penney City Streets® Super Skinny Green Jeans, $17.99

JC Penney City Streets® Pink Skinny Jeans, $17.99

JC Penney City Streets® Prince Skinny Jeans, $17.99

Also spotted in People Style Watch.. I had to head to the store to check these Old Navy Boots out for myself and was very happy with what I found. They are faux leather but styled the right way, they are less of an eyesore and more of an accessory. I do not have room in my wallet for an expensive pair of edgy black motorcycle boots (because I feel they are more trendy than classic) so these were the perfect solution...
Old Navy Women's Faux-Leather Riding Boots, $44.94

Insider Tip: The Skinny Jeans run a bit small but fit perfectly after wearing them while sitting on the couch watching your favorite tv show!!!

John Frieda- Where have you been all my life?

I am completely OBSESSED with a new hair product that may save me thousands of dollars a year for a mere $8 a month thanks to my girl JC....

Introducing John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray

I had been complimenting my friend about her gorgeous hair color when she confessed that it was nothing more than a drugstore purchase that created the amazing blonde locks she was rocking.

I hit the drugstore to track it down right away but was sad to find it was sold out.. after going to every local CVS and Duane Reade in my neighborhood I hit up Bed Bath and Beyond which I recently noticed carried beauty products and was in luck.

All you do is spray your towel dried hair and apply the heat of a hair dryer and/or straightening iron and within the first 2 times you do this you will feel like a new woman.

I was in need of coloring my roots the day I first started using this product- now I have received more compliments than ever about my new more natural looking blonde mane!!

Thanks JC!!!

Iced coffee & 4 steals- going going, back back, to the 80s 80s

So I had a blast shopping this week as I have a much anticipated Annual Volleyball Tournament to attend Saturday that is an 80s theme! I forgot how much I love the 80s and all the absurd style that went along with it that I choose to sum up in 1 word: NEON!

First, I was on a mission to track down SLAP BRACELETS! After discovering wristbanduniverse.com, my search was over as they had an amazing assortment of slap bracelets in every neon color I dreamed of! I chose to go with neon pink, orange, and yellow. I bought 5 of each knowing that my friends will be stealing them throughout the day!

Next, I hit up American Apparel where I knew I would find the 80s top and bottom I was in search of. I fell in love with the neon pink crop tank the minute I laid eyes on it. I found some great shorts but thy were too short for my liking(and not too flattering to say the least). At the checkout my payees were answered when I saw their assortment of neon SCRUNCHIES- AMAZINGNESS!

Last but not least I needed to complete the look with a colorful pie of waferers which I found right away on Broadway!

15 Slap Bracelets= $30
scrunchie= $6
crop tank= $22
waferers= $5

Iced Coffee, 4 steals while keeping it on the streets...

After being stuck in the house sick as a dog it was no surprise that I found not reason to enter a store doing my weekly shopping and chose to spend my time and money with my favorite street vendors on Broadway.

I love this table in particular because from a far it looks like crap but up close, you can find great knock offs!!

I always have my eye out for great Van Cleef & Arpels knock offs but often the charms are painted and don't stay inside the lines.

This table's assortment was fantastic!!!

I couldn't help myself and went for 2 sets..
Earrings, $10 & Necklaces, $15 = $25 a set.

Insider tip: Keep your shopping on Broadway and this is why....

Here is a Broadway vendor..

his assortment of rings...

And the $10 Turquoise Ring...

And the vendor on Spring & Crosby who sells the SAME EXACT RING for $25!!!

Keep it on Broadway!!!

iced coffee, 3 steals, and a splurge - shoes, they get me everytime.

Out to brighten up this grey midweek day, I hit Broadway in Soho where I felt inclined to start my day at topshop. I love their store, but sometimes when it is soooo busy I get a little distracted from the clothes and get lost in the crowd. As I made my way to the shoe salon, I spotted these gorgeous ballet flats from a mile away. As they were only down to 2 sizes, 6 or 11 I thanked God for my GINORMOUS feet and gave the 11s a spin. I was thrilled when with a small adjustment of the tie, they fit perfectly.

Topshop Ballet Flats, $32

Next I stopped at H&M where they are on sale, aka not too much newness. I did however spot these sandals hanging on the wall for $12.95 and tried them on expecting for them to feel cheap and uncomfortable. I was stunned when I didn't want to take them off because of comfort. As I made my way to the register to pay, I was even more surprised to hear the sales associate tell me that they were on sale for $7. (jackpot)
H&M Sandals, $7
(side note: while this picture was being taken on the Mott St. sidewalk, Keri Russell, aka Felicity, walked by with her adorable son who was begging, "Mommy can we puleaseee go to Target today." so cute)

I had received an email on my blackberry from Steve Madden about a sale so true to form, I went to check the goods out in person before placing an online order. (i always do this if the merchandise is accessible to me)
Steve Madden Seeri Sandals, $41.95

When I spotted this t-strap sandals on the sale wall I was immediately drawn to them for 2 reasons, 1 they were flat and 2 nude. Both comfortable and practical, I was pumped when they felt as good as they looked.

Steve Madden Riddgge Wedges, $64.50

My splurge also came from Steve Madden, because I cannot help myself from a wedge, on sale, even when I can't wear them (still in rehab for the ole knee). What I love most about these shoes is the color, the cognac is so great looking in person. Also, side note, I always wear a size 10 in Steve Madden shoes, however I am a 9 in these bad boys!!
