White alllll over except for.....

There is nothing I love more than wearing white all summer long. Sun kissed hair and skin is always best highlighted back to white. As it is finally socially/fashionably acceptable (to those who still obey the Memorial Day rule) to break out alll the white we want I have been asked by some clients on where to draw the line....

FIRST let me be clear: When wearing white, you must wear NUDE colored undergarments. If you don't own them, invest in them. (that is unless you are ok with your undergarments being visible or are offsetting a white top with a black bra)

Body by Victoria Ipex Demi Bra, $28.50

Commando Thong, $24

Young Fabulous & Broke Range Maxi Dress, $396

Thread Short Strapless Double Ruffle Dress, $395

Free People New Romantics Eyelet Camisole, $88

Rag & Bone/JEAN The Sullivan Top, $195

Milly Cotton eyelet-patterned shorts, $225

American Eagle White Jegging, $19.50

Theory Crunch Maxi Skirt, $295

Elizabeth and James Emery Blazer in White, $395.00

Victoria's Secret Beach Sexy Triangle Bikini Set, $19

Fendi Peek-A-Boo Tote, White, $3,400

BUT be careful with the High-Low factor...

High:
TERRIBLEEEEEE

Low:
Great!
Superga 2750 Classic, $65

OK
Not ideal- they will get dirty easily but if you NEED to go with a white shoe, go with a darker sole!!

TERRIBLE
These will be dirty before you leave the house! White on White.. Not a good look!!

Go white alllll over.... but NO need to go too far!

3 steals and another steal 5.25.11

With the sun bright and shinning today I could not help myself from buying items that will be great for this summer! (acting a bit prematurely)

First I hit up Forever 21 where I was really only interested in pastel colors. There is nothing better than wearing pastels with a golden brown tan!

I was pumped when I came across this seafoam green colored Smocked Maxi Dress that will be perfect to throw on after a long day in the sun! The original price of this dress was $22 but it was on sale for $10. cha chinggg

Next I hit H&M where I scored the clutch featured in the picture. I have been out to buy a black clutch and loved this Embossed Leather Clutch because of both size, style and savings! (it was only $17.95)

My last stop was Old Navy where I mad an aggressive move, but not as aggressive as actually sharing it.

My only real intention was to pick up a second pair of shorts that I wore to death last summer, Women's Cotton Gauze Cover-Up Shorts... BUT because of the sun and warmth, I was compelled to buy a bikini, 1 that was different from the rest of my collection, a bikini with a hint of embellishment.

I was mostly drawn to this one because of the color, but I was sold on the fun but subtle embellishment. Because the top and bottom were sold separately, and I wanted the complete suit, I chose to pass on a splurge.

Here's to hoping it is warm enough this weekend to rock my new suit!!

Iced Coffee and the sandals women are asking me about...

Today, as I am celebrating the SUN with a a pair of shorts, cami, and 1 of my favorite steals of the season...

Women are asking me- Where are your shoes from?

The answer: Old Navy, $15!

As I have declared my loyalty to ON tanks, I will admit that I had NEVER given their shoes a second look before. (mainly because of poor construction)

When I came across this faux snake t-strap sandals a couple of months ago I had to have them- and they have been my favorite flat sandals ever since!

Steal of the Day- Amazing Snake Flats for $30!!

This weekend as I was strolling along Prince Street I passed a very chic European tourist wearing shoes I had to have.

I stopped her and complimented her on her amazing style and asked where I could purchase her shoes.

(this picture does not do the shoe justice!)

The minute she muttered the letters.. D-S-W I died and went to shoe heaven!!

She told me that the flats were made by Wanted and were $29.99.

I thanked her for the amazing news and ran back to my office to purchase them online right away!!

I was thrilled to discover that they also came in black!

I obviously had to buy both colors!!!!!

Insider Tip: I actually stopped the woman anticipating that her shoes were Alexander Birman, my FAVORITE skin shoe designer!

Alexandre Birman Ballet Flats, $495

Now you know why I bought 2 pairs!!!

Black on Black- Always a chic look!!

As I read my morning paper (people.com) and drank my iced coffee, it dawned on me that one of my favorite looks has been seen on the red carpet 2 times this week...

Both jumpsuits!

Love this look? Create it for yourself!!

First- Find a great pair of high waisted black pants.

Next- What top works best for you?

Dare to bare...

Feeling edgy...

Or just sophisticated...

The finishing touch- a fantastic wide belt to highlight your small point and hide that you are faking it!

Black on black is such a fantastic look and is sleek on all- don't forget- start shopping for this look within your own closet! You will never believe what you discover!!

Iced coffee, 3 steals and a splurge- 5.18.11

I really had no direction as I hit the streets of Soho for my weekly shopping excursion. I continue to be drawn to inexpensive statement jewelry, mostly obnoxious gold baubles.

H&M Necklace, $12.95

I have seen this necklace in many H&M ads but when I tried it on in the store I hated the way it looked hanging over my large chest. The truth is, the chain the necklace is actually produced with is much too long and suspends the turquoise just at your bust. I took it upon myself to alter the piece and used wire cutters to shorten the chain in order to maintain a look I preferred.

I also scored a set of gold bangles at H&M for $5.95 which you will see worn with my splurge.

Forever 21 Ring, $4.80

As I have been wearing gold so much this season I needed a fun ring to throw on and really pull together my look. I loved this ring because it is an elastic band (aka can be worn on any of my fingers) and has faux onyx.

I LOVE Onyx for 2 reasons, 1 it is timeless and 2 it goes with EVERYTHING!

Rebecca Taylor Rose Printed Smocked Gown, $395.00, H&M Gold Bangles, 45.95

I have been in search of the perfect tiered maxi skirt/dress and chose to look no further after coming across this gorgeous RT floral maxi. I love this dress for 3 reasons, 1 it is versatile, can be worn as a strapless dress or even a skirt, 2 it has pockets, and 3 it is the perfect length to wear with flat sandals. (I love my wedges, BUT enjoy wearing a flat sandal here and there)

Strapless

Tiered Maxi Skirt

Always showing off my smallest point

Insider Tip: I made sure to coat all of my new jewels with my Clear Top Coat Nail Polish the minute I got home in order to protect my skin and the bauble.

Steal of the Day- H&M Bikinis for under $10!!

I never thought that I would buy a bathing suit I loved for less than $10...

BUT- H&M proved me wrong!

The quality of these bathing suits is shocking for the price!
(as in they're actually LINED!!!)

For $4.95 a piece, you are able to purchase adorable bikinis for ONLY $9.90!!

The BEST part: because they are sold separately, you are able to purchase your appropriate size!!

Let’s face it, it is not likely that anyone wears the same numerical size on top and bottom.

(I personally wear a 6 bottom and 10 top so that my Ds are covered up!!)

At first I was skeptical about the tops as I generally ONLY wear triangles, but even with my 34D bust, they provide enough coverage and support.

Interested in indulging in that 1 piece that is so sexy without baring it all?

H&M also has a FANTASTIC assortment of 1 piece bathing suits for $14.95!!

I love the concept and trend but my inner sun goddess is not willing to risk getting a funky tan line!!!

Attending a wedding in white- don't go there!

Wedding season is here and a question I have been asked over and over is... can I wear this?

If you need to ask...you know the answer!

No way!

Don't even think about it!

Wear it to your own event!

Beautiful for a night out on the town!

Too tight!

Still too white!

Too close to what the bride may be wearing!!

When in doubt, respect the bride and don't flirt with crossing the line- a dress is NEVER worth the strain it may cause on a relationship!!!!
